Fifty Year Reunion Programs
Presented by
Raymond Dawson
Rockport, Grandview and Luce High Schools

For ten years (1951-1960), Raymond Dawson presented a program during the 50 year reunions of Luce Township High School and Rockport High School. The program was called "The Way We Were" and took a look back at the time the graduates were in high school. The main part of the program was a look at the yearbooks from each school. Other items were a song identification contest, a hair contest and a look at the national and international events taking place during their years in school.

These programs may be available for class reunions by contacting Raymond Dawson. They would be for the years 1951 to 1960, 1961 and 1963 of Rockport and Luce Township High Schools. In addition to the class reunion programs, a History of Rockport High School program is available.

On July 13, 1943, a fire destroyed Grandview High School. Some say the Class of 1943 did not have a yearbook because of shortages during WWII and some say they burned in the fire. Programs featuring the last yearbook of Grandview High School, 1942, and a program featuring items from the Class of 1943 are available.

It is hoped that in the future, part of these programs will be available on this web site.

At this time, this partial program is available online. It only includes a look at the yearbooks.
